"Pygg" isn't a typo. In the Middle Ages, pygg was an Old English word for a dense orange clay used to make everyday jars and pots — including the jars people kept their coins in. Over the centuries the word drifted toward "pig," potters began shaping the jars like the animal, and the piggy bank was born.

We chose the older spelling on purpose. The piggy bank became a universal symbol of saving and stewardship — of putting money somewhere safe and letting it grow. That, in a word, is what we do.
